Located in Mourisca, the Ferreira de Castro Park is the result of the opening to the public of the rustic area of a farm acquired by the municipality at the end of the 1970s. Its spatial configuration mainly emphasizes the pre-existing vegetation, although it has been equipped with support facilities. During the first decade of the current century, the park underwent a process of requalification and environmental enhancement, and is now a multi-functional space.
Ferreira de Castro Park, as a municipal green space, offers a pleasant and functional experience, ideal for leisure and recreational activities for all ages. Among its many attractions are a maintenance circuit, mini-golf, a playing field, a children's playground and a gerontological park for the elderly. The atmosphere is complemented by the welcoming café "O Poeta". The surrounding area offers wide, well-kept walks, as well as several parking spaces for visitors' convenience.
