The municipal swimming pools in S. João da Madeira, at the Paulo Pinto Sports Complex, now have a water park, a new offer that has made this facility even more attractive to people from all over the region.
There are two large water slides, the largest of which is around 70 meters long and the other around 30 meters.
Because these "toboggans" are not for younger children, the council decided to go ahead with another project in parallel, to add water fun equipment to the children's pool.
As a result, this large municipal outdoor leisure space, which has three swimming pools - a 50-meter pool, a jumping pool and a children's pool - a children's playground, an extensive tree-lined lawn and a bar, now also offers an area of water slides and "toboggans" and water play equipment for the little ones.
