The Shoe Museum is an innovative addition to the national museum scene, portraying the memory of the shoe industry in S. João da Madeira and the reality of shoe design in Portugal in the 20th century, while also pointing the way to the technological and creative vanguard of the 21st century.
More than just an exhibition of artifacts, the Shoe Museum is a space for learning, creativity and experimentation that will require visitors to adopt an interactive and constantly questioning attitude.
